Our Open Channel High-Output UV Modules are defined by their high quality, corrosion resistant construction. Our UV modules offer large scale applications an extreme versatility that pressure vessels cannot. (There are three model styles to choose from).

We offer a versatile range of lamp configurations to address the UV requirements of your specific application. Supply us with exact dimensions of a channel or your filter chamber, along with your UV exposure requirements, and we will design a UV lamp array with the appropriate model and number of UV lamps needed to achieve your targeted UV exposure. This option is very flexible and cost-effective.

Open-Frame Modules: Provide us with your channel dimensions and required UV exposure, and we will build you an Open-Frame UV Module, specifically based on your application’s requirements. |

Baffled Modules: Very similar to our Open-Frame design, our Baffled Module also includes the addition of a baffle used to direct the water through the UV unit. |
Open Channel High-Output UV Module Advantages:
- T5 Low-Pressure/High-Output UV lamps convert approximately 33-40% of their input watts into UV-C output watts within the 250-280 nanometer range. Compare that to less efficient Medium-Pressure Lamps offering only 7-13%.
Also note the useful lamp life of our T5 Low- Pressure Lamps with 13 months (9,000 hours) of continual operation while retaining >80% efficiency. In stark contrast, Medium-Pressure Lamps offer a useful lamp life of only 700 to 4,000 hours depending on the manufacturer and operating conditions.
- Durable, heavy-wall plastic construction lowers the unit cost, compared to stainless steel, while increasing overall operating life.
- Cost-effective, easy-to-service UV lamp power assemblies allow you to replace individual lamps without removing the entire UV fixture or disrupting the flow of water through the channel. Simply unthread the UV lamp power assembly’s retainer nut, and the individual assembly is easily removed.
- Remote NEMA 4X Power Supply Enclosure protects ballasts and electrical hardware from the rigors of a wet environment. Standard instrumentation includes: main power on/off switch, individual LED lamp status indicators, re-settable hour meter, main power indicator lamp, all protected by an easy-to-access swing-down watertight, clear cover. Note: All of our electrical enclosures are UL 508-A listed (for safety and electrical code compliance).

Custom Fit Open Channel UV Module Designs:For our Custom Fit design, we employ your vessel as the channel frame to house the UV power assemblies. Essentially, we incorporate our UV power assemblies (quartz sleeves, UV lamps, power supply) into your filtration system. All you need to do is to provide us with your chamber specifications. |
