Automatic Backwash System
for PSP Filters

E-6000F Series Pressure/Timer Activated Automatic Multi-port Valves w/ Manual Override.

The E-6000F Series Automatic Backwash Valves are timer or pressure controlled (adjustable pressure control) systems that combine both the valve actuator and the controller (together) inside one enclosure. An integrated touch pad switch allows the operator to initiate standard operating commands that include: backwash/rinse, drain, and pump shut-off. E-6000F valves are equipped with adjustable potentiometers to set backwash and rinse durations: backwash (1-11 min.) and
rinse (20 sec. – 4 min.).

The SSM-EA-50 is a remote pump controller with a 50 amp capacity that is required to operate E-6000F Series Valves. The E-6000F Series Valve’s internal pump relay is wired to the SSM-EA-50 Pump Controller that controls the on/off sequence of the pump during the valve’s backwash and rinse cycles.

Filtration Equipment

Valve that takes operating commands from our ASP-EA-50 Controller/Monitor. The ASP-EA-50 Controller/Monitor display is an information center, allowing the operator to view and modify parameters. The Controller/Monitor’s microprocessor performs many functions that include: Pump operation, pressure switch setup, timed backwash setup, backwash and rinse duration, valve status, and troubleshooting capabilities if the valve develops problems. It also allows for identification of valve actuator movement or for valve testing.

Controller/Monitor Advantages:

• The “Backwash Screen” is used to:
  1. Monitor the backwash cycle.
  2. Set up the pressure switch (initiates a backwash based on pressure in the filter).
  3. Run a backwash test (overriding the pressure switch).
• Backwash Duration Command is set to 1 – 10 minutes by the operator.
• Rinse Duration Command is set to 30 – 300 seconds by the operator.
• Backwash Cycle Screen sets the valve to backwash based on timer.
• Backwash Counter Screen is used to determine backwashing frequency.
