PLC UV Intensity Controller/Monitor
PLC (Programmable Logic Control) Controller/Monitor
Our PLC UV Intensity Controller/Monitor is microprocessor-based and features a menu driven, digital interface with
touch-pad for easy command initiation. The PLC UV Controller/Monitor is integrated into the power supply enclosure and available as an option with new Standard or Premium High-Output Multi-Lamp models. The PLC Controller/Monitor is standard with all SafeGUARD UV models.

PLC UV Controller/Monitor Standard Features:
- Individual UV Lamp Status (displays individual lamp operating status “On or Off”).
- Re-settable individual UV Lamp Hour Meter (displays individual lamp operating hours) “password protected”.
- Master System Hour Meter (displays total unit operating hours) “password protected”.
- Low – High Voltage Set-points protect the UV system against damage due to electrical surges/brown-outs.
- Main Power Display (displays main input voltage).
- Power Supply Enclosure Temperature Display/Monitor (displays temperature inside the enclosure and will shut the system down to protect the unit from overheating).
- Output Alarm Relay (Normally open/closed dry contact set that can be used to send an alarm signal to external sources during an alarm event).
- RS232 Data Output Port (used to send data to external sources, must be programmed prior to shipment).

Lamp Hours Screen – The Lamp Hour Screen displays total lamp’s operating hours. At the end of each hour the total hours are incremented at which time lamp status check is made. Here all lamps are showing 1 hour of operation. |
Voltage Range Screen - The Factory Low and High Voltage Set-points are displayed as well as the actual voltage. Operating the equipment outside of the Voltage parameters may damage the unit or reduce the UV output. |
|
Lamp Status Screen – Lamp Status Screen provides lamp operating information. “0” signifies OFF, “1” signifies ON. |
PLC UV Controller/Monitor Options:
20207 - Optional Water Flow Meter/Monitor uses an in-line pulse frequency type flow sensor to measure and display the unit’s water flow rate in either gpm or lpm.
20208 – Optional ORP Meter reads in millivolts (0 to 1,000). Features of this option include: Alarm Set-point circuit, (Used with the controller’s output alarm relay. Alarm Trip Set-point is triggered anywhere on the 0 – 1,000 millivolt scale).
20209 – Optional pH Meter reads in millivolts (0 to 10 pH). Features of this option include: Alarm Set-point circuit, (Used with the controller’s output alarm relay. Alarm Trip Set-point is triggered anywhere on the 0 – 10 pH scale).
20210 – Optional UV Intensity Meter reads in lamp output percent (0% - 100%). Features of this option include: Alarm Set-point circuit, (Used with the controller’s output alarm relay. Alarm Trip Set-point is triggered anywhere on the 1% - 100% scale). Two intensity probe capacity (includes one probe, second probe purchased separately).
20211 - Optional Ethernet communications port.
20212 - Optional 4-20 milliamp output port.
20215 - Optional Water Temperature Monitor displays water temperature inside the UV vessel. Equipped with a Factory Set-point of 120°F that, when triggered, will sound an output alarm and cut power to the UV unit, preventing overheating and possible damage to the unit.
Note: Controller/Monitor must be purchased with new UV equipment.
Note: Controller/Monitor options must be purchased with basic Controller/Monitor and installed at time of purchase.
