Each SafeGUARD UV model is designed to deliver primary germicidal disinfection - Bio-Security - that meets the regulatory and environmental challenges of the aquatic fish culture, exhibit, and swim markets that we serve. All SafeGUARD CLP and CLS Models are equipped with the PLC UV Controller/Monitor Power Enclosure. Additional options are available and must be specified prior to purchasing. |

Corrosion Resistant, Watertight Power Enclosure: Enclosures are constructed from high impact thermoplastic, which is resistant to seawater and possesses excellent
weathering capabilities. Rated at a NEMA 4X, our power enclosures protect electrical hardware from water and dirt and are intended for wet operating environments.
Note: All of our electrical enclosures are UL 508-A listed (for safety and electrical code compliance).
Optimum UV Lamp Output Performance: Our state-of-the-art electronic ballast(s) deliver precise input power to the lamp, resulting in peak UV output and useful lamp
life performance
PLC (Programmable Logic Control) UV Controller/Monitor: All Models feature our user-friendly, microprocessor-based controller/monitor. This sophisticated instrumentation features a menu driven, digital interface with touch-pad for easy command initiation. Controller/Monitor features include: Individual lamp
status display, operating voltage, low-high voltage set-point protection, % UV intensity, standard-output relay to be used with an external alarm, and water

UV Lamp Diversity:SafeGUARD UV models utilize Low-Pressure UV lamps in either High-Output or Amalgam styles. All SafeGUARD UV models are outfitted with the lamp style that delivers the highest UV output performance at the most reasonable cost of ownership. Low-Pressure High-Output UV Lamps: Our Low Pressure High Output (LPHO) UV Lamps feature chemically treated hard-quartz, non-ozone emitting
“L Glass” offering an exceptional 9,000 hours of continual operation while retaining >80% efficiency. Best suited for low to moderate flow applications.
 
Low-Pressure (High-Intensity) Amalgam UV Lamps: Our Low-Pressure Amalgam UV Lamps deliver significantly higher UV-C output than our LPHO lamps requiring
fewer lamps to deliver an equivalent UV dose. These lamps feature chemically treated hard quartz, non-ozone emitting “L Glass” that increases operating
performance and useful life (> 80% efficient after 9,000 of continual operation). Best suited for moderate to high-flow applications.
Efficient UV Sterilizer Housing:
The Safeguard UV CLP and CLS family of commercial UV equipment features our hydraulically efficient “L Style” UV vessel design
that optimizes intensity throughout the lamp field. This is critical to reliable UV dose delivery. Each lamp field is calculated to position the lamps
in an array that utilizes each lamp’s UV output to its maximum potential. Additionally, the compact benefit of the “L Style” vessel allows for in-line,
horizontal, or vertical mounting options in order to save valuable floor space. Lamp connections are watertight and feature corrosion resistant plastic hardware.
SafeGUARD UV Maintenance:SafeGUARD UV models feature “single-end” lamp and quartz sleeve access allowing for one individual to perform fast lamp change-outs or quartz sleeve cleaning.
Individual lamps can be changed without water flow disruption.
Optional Quartz Sleeve Wipers are available for freshwater systems upon request.
